Technical Support for Charter Hall, Colchester
Reece Productions enters into a Service Level Agreement with Colchester Borough Council to provide technical support for the 60+ events each year at Charter Hall, Colchester. Charter Hall is the historic towns largest venue with a 1200 capacity for a range of events, meetings and functions. This new agreement with Reece Productions comes after the retirement in 2007 of the venues previous full-time technician employed by the leisure centre. Reece Productions had previously provided temporary cover for holidays, sickness and additional roles for the past 5 years at the venue, but it was felt by all parties that a more formal arrangement was required to ensure the future of the venue. After a lengthy tender process to a range of companies, Reece Productions were officially award the contract in October with immediate effect.
'By outsourcing the technical support roles to Reece Productions, the venue have a greater access to a wealth of experience and facilities, which we hope will drive bookings and make all aspects of events at the venue more successful for both hirers and the venue. Under the agreement we undertake the pre-event liason role for the services provided with the hire fee, and offer additional services via the Charter Hall Events Team. This streamlines billing to the hirer as they get all of their hire charges and production support on one invoice from Colchester Borough Council. We will shortly be launching a new section of our website to provide in-depth technical information and details of the range of additional services available to users of the venue.'
