- REVOSTAGE arrives at RP
 Reece Productions have just taken stock of Revostage's light-weight ultra-portable stage decking system. At only 9kg for a 1m by 1m deck, the system offers substantial savings on transport and crew,
plus the deck is has a carpet finish saving yet more set-up time. This is going to be a popular new product in our hire stock, enabling clients to add staging to their events for a much smaller cost.

- AV control for the Warwick
In April RP completed an update to the AV equipment at the Warwick pub in Maldon.
The existing system had been expanded a number of times to fit the changing requirements and had reached a stage where it was no longer an efficent
way to control the various inputs and outputs they had. We supplied and installed an Australian Monitor Video Matrix, allowing easy routing of video sources
to any of the screens within the pub (the number of these grew to 4 during the installation!). On the audio side, again Australian Monitor were the chosen manufacturer,
this time for a simple to use zone mixer to control audio, enabling sound to be routed to the various areas of the pub.
The addition of a system controller and relocating the amplifiers to a back-of-house area has given the staff control of the volume to ensure the DJ remains at a sensible volume.
As a demo, RP has also installed a USB media drive to the video system, which plays slide shows of images stored on a USB memory stick. This is being used as a simple advertising system, alowing the pub to
advertise special promotions and up-coming events, and also offer some external advertising as a new revenue stream.
- MIPRO Radio System for Hart Wilcox Production Company
 We recently specified and supplied a 6 way radio system to Hart Wilcox Production Company Ltd.
The system comprised: 3x MIPRO ACT-707D-HM 2 way radio receivers, 4x MIPRO ACT-707TM Belt Packs with MU-55L capsules, and 2x MIPRO ACT 707TM Hand Held Microphones.
Hart Wilcox will be using the system in many demanding conference situations.

- New Team Member at Reece Productions
We are very pleased that Chris Wisbey (AKA “Wiz”) has joined the team here at RP as Technical Production Manager.
Although Wiz’s principal background is in Lighting, and he also has an in depth knowledge of Audio/Video/Power and IT systems.
He has worked with us extensively in the past as one of our prime sub contractors, and we are sure his wealth of experience will greatly benefit the company and our customers.
- New Director Appointed
Gary Taylor has been appointed a director of RP with effect from April 5th 2010.
Gary has been with the company since 2007 and is pleased to join James Reece-Ford as a Director taking a more active role in managing the company.
- LSC Redback Dimmer Installation for Charter Hall
 RP recently specified, supplied and installed 48 ways of new lighting dimmers to Charter Hall. The existing in-house installation was due for replacement in a years time so a specification had been drawn up,
but when they failed less than 2 weeks before a busy run of shows, RP were tasked with bringing the replacement in and commissioned within that time. We had already been looking at LSC's dimmers,
but with the new time frame it was decided not to change the existing 15A patch system and to simply replace the dimmers. We specified the LSC Redback, the user interface was one of the deciding
factors allowing virtual faders to control the outputs, along with scenes for easy control of multiple channels, full DMX soft patch facility and the ability to change the dimmer curve, and 'switch-pack' mode.
The dimmers were installed and tested in time for the first show of the busy run and have proved very sucessful.
- Busy 2009 still fresh, 2010 looking good
2009 saw RP carry out over 100 mini conferences for a major international corporation.
Utilising ‘meeting room kits’, the whole job was designed to be transported and operated by one technician in a car or small van, keeping the cost down but with full support for the client. We already have in excess of 40 of these in the book for 2010 and look forward to many more.
As Technical Partner to the Charter Hall in Colchester we supplied staff, equipment and technical support for over 50 events in 2009, including such diverse events as the Olly Murs homecoming event, the Moscow Ballet, Co-Op Juniors Christmas Spectacular and Brian Conoly’s own touring live show. This year at Charter Hall also saw increased bookings for conference and meeting facilities, with Reece Productions involved with some large-scale plenary sessions for the likes of Colchester Borough Council, & the Diabetes UK Annual Conference.
2009 also saw further ‘TV appearances’ for Charter Hall with Question Time & Sky Sports Snooker, both with excellent feedback from the visiting companies on Charter Hall’s suitability to TV studio broadcast. With a full and increasing events diary at Charter Hall we are expecting more of the same this year.
